Our January Module exams have now finished and the Science department are in the process of organising activities to help all those budding scientists out there to achieve the best possible results in the May/June exams.
So far Mrs Gray is offering Higher Chemistry and Biology Coursework catch up sessions in the science classroom on Tuesday evenings and Miss Gudojc is offering a Monday drop in session in the Super-lab.
If you have any suggestions for anything else you'd like please let us know.

Hi Mrs Grey! I was a pupil back in the days when Essa Academy was known as Hayward School.I left in 2003/4 and was just having a 'nosey' at how school has changed from when i was a pupil. I just wanted to let you know how much you inspired me when i was studying at Hayward. I went on to study Biology at college and then at university and ended came out with a 1st class honours in Biology about 3 years ago now. Just felt the need to thank you for your inspiration in the subject as its something i love and hold close to my heart. I am now a primary school teacher in Bolton a job which i love. I remember you telling all of us set 1 pupils that we will all end up as doctors, teachers etc... It seemed a million years away then! haha! I do know several of our Biology class that are now doctors/paedictric nurses/teachers/ pharmacists etc.. Nargis Patel is a Doctor as is Numa'an Kala. Melissa Rosevere is a paediactic nurse, Tasneem Omar is a pharmacist - there are many more. I have kept in contact with them all and i know they have many happy memories from your lessons. Hope your well. Take Care. Anna Carlin (nee Waddington) Class of 2003.
