How we Grade Our Students Traffic light systemTo help you to understand this, we use a simple ‘traffic light’ system. An explanation of this for the welfare, attendance and curriculum aspects are shown below. The first section is about welfare. We think this is very important and certainly impacts on how well students achieve. We know that students who attend well and are always punctual, tend to be happiest and go on to achieve the most. We want to support students and parents/carers to create the right conditions for success. In the next section, you will find a description of our curriculum, how it is structured and the GCSE subjects that we offer. It carefully maps out for students individual paths to success, so that by year 11 they have achieved rigorously assessed qualifications, to prepare them for their next steps in life.
