Why study Spanish @ Essa?

Picture
Over 320 million people speak Spanish as their first language in the world, making it the 2nd most spoken language after Mandarin Chinese.

In the foundation course, you will learn the basics, from greetings, to numbers, including topics like school, family, leisure, food etc.

Completion of the foundation course leads to GCSE, which builds on topics covered in the foundation course but in much greater detail, and introduces further topics such as work, the environment etc.

This GCSE will count towards the EBAC.

Learning Spanish will not only enable you to use your language skills when you go on holiday, but it will also enable you to discover another country, with different culture and customs. In terms of career, it will enable you to choose a job with an international dimension, whether it is in the tourism industry, marketing or retail for instance.

If you have any questions regarding Spanish, please use the form below to contact
Mr B Karasz, Strand Leader and teacher of Spanish.
